I read this book once in the last day and am reading again for clarity. A few points really jumped out at me:
1. every system has its rules - to fight, you either have to learn the rules or you have to fight because you love to fight and understand that you are not really training to win
2. dont over think - we need to stick to the technique that we know. what feels good and is automatic is usually good for the fight.
3. keep thinking - in the fight, focus on the goal at hand. hit what is open, take what is given and break your opponent mentally without getting broken yourself. The fight is 90% mental 50% of the time.

A good fighter is like a diamond, chiseled and polished to perfection and equally hard to find

escalated training
Did KB and TKD this week. Feels good. My hips are really tight though. Boxing power coming back easy. Speed, not as much. Technique...sux. Still have terrible footwork. Balance is not good either. Lets see what I can fix this week...

Have been kicking taekwondo 2wice a week and did some kickboxing 2 weeks ago. Have to finish the move to the new apt and then can start on my technique and flexibility training. Have to fix my back before I can do strength/conditioning. Hope to start that this month.
